The Landscape Construction Project Organizer – Field / Office – is responsible for organizing specific tasks regarding various aspects of landscape construction projects.

Job Duties:
Organize the execution of and timing of construction projects by planning in house or rental equipment requirements and non-critical material deliveries to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines o Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project
Non critical material deliveries are all materials other than paving products or big ticket items in excess of $1,000.00: lighting, plant, pond material and landscape materials are considered non critical items
Discuss with the owner the advance purchase of materials by reviewing job planner details at least 2 – 3 weeks out to make sure long lead items are taken care of
Create a job calendar where by current job progress is kept with a forecast of future work. Give job calendar weekly updates to Office by Monday for the week prior
Submit to office the next day the hours each team and member spends on a job – can txt in by phone
Coordinate or deliver equipment to / for job site
Only deliver equipment that can be loaded into the back of the F-450 / F-550 by others
Not required to shuttle equipment by trailer from site to site
Coordinate or pick up materials as necessary to load the job . Only deliver material that can be loaded in the back of the F-450 / F-550
Organize the dumping of materials or removal of infill and debris by working with various subcontractors
Review team needs in the morning meeting to make sure material & equipment is ready and available for daily work
Organize safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/or shop/yard
Operate very light duty tools and equipment to assist in landscaping jobs raking mulching, planting small flora
Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, and cleaning on a daily basis
Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas
Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to complete work activities
Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including: daily equipment operating logs, bills, and receipts for material bought or rented
Comply with all company policies and regulations
Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner
After the project is complete, photograph the work site for marketing and document the photographs taken
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the landscape/construction industry
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Time management skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
Speak, read, and write English/ Spanish as a second language is desirable
Work Conditions:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Able to perform very light duty tasks like cleanup and landscaping
Work near heavy equipment
Drive pickup trucks on a regular basis
Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
Start time of 7:30am with overtime if required including occasional weekend work as necessary
Project Organizer Earning Potential:
Hourly rate, depending on experience, for this position is between $30 – 40/Hour, plus benefits (listed below), payable weekly, less all necessary payroll deductions. You are eligible for overtime. All overtime is paid at time and one half after 40 hours. Expect to work a 50-hour week from March through November and 40-hour weeks during the months of December, January, and February inside work no snow plowing. After the first ninety (90) days of your employment, you will be eligible to receive the following benefits:
Vacation, Sick or Personal Leave: You will have five (5) paid vacation days, and three (3) sick or personal leave days per calendar year. If you do not use these days, you will lose them. They do not carry over from year to year and any unused vacation, sick or personal leave days will not be paid out, if you leave the company for any reason.
Holidays: You will be paid for the following holidays unless they fall on a Saturday or Sunday:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Additional benefits such as supplemental insurance, additional vacation, personal leave days and holidays will be afforded to you as you advance within the company and are given at the owners’ discretion.
Bonuses: Annual bonuses are based upon overall company performance and are given at the owners’ discretion.
