For sale is a BEAUTIFULLY restored Williams Expo from 1969, a rarely-seen two-player pinball machine with a unique backbox chance wheel. Expos almost never come up for sale, and examples that have been fully restored to this level are near impossible to find. This is likely the nicest example you will find on the market.
This game has been restored to play and look better than when it was a new machine. The cabinet has been touched up and clear-coated satin to match the original sheen, and the playfield has been professionally touched up and high gloss clear-coated as well, resulting in glass-like surface with absolutely no wear. Inserts are perfectly flat and crack/haze free. Original playfield plastics and posts are present and in very nice condition. All lighting has been upgraded to retro non-ghosting LEDs with many new sockets to keep the correct period look without the heat or maintenance. Cabinet comes with color matched leg protectors, new bolts, legs, and leg levelers. Playfield has new flipper bats, rubbers, lane guides, pop bumper bodies, caps, lamp post, mini post, and more.
All mechanical assemblies have been gone through and tumbled/rebuilt, including new nylon coil sleeves, many coil stops, plungers and links, yokes, and other wear items. Flippers are newly rebuilt and hit hard. The coin door has been rebuilt and re-grained, and the Williams logos on the shooter housing and coin door were hand-painted red as a nice subtle detail. This was not factory but is cleanly done and reversible if desired. This machine is set for free play but is fully equipped for quarters.
Back glass has some flaking but has been stabilized. Mainly on the score reel surround (touched up at some point in its life) and on the lower right ladies shoulder. I'd rate it a 'B' with the rest of the game being a straight 'A'.
The game is fully serviced, working 100%, and needs nothing. This is not a project or a refreshed player; it was restored carefully with collectors in mind, hence the insane amount of time and care put into it.
Cash is king. I can deliver for a fee. Come by and give it a flip if you are interested. Not interested in trades (+ cash) at this time unless it is a Whitewater, Safe Cracker, or Harry Potter.
