These are attached to siderails on vehicles that have no crossbars, or to add extra crossbars to support the weight , or provide extra attachment points when you're carrying a large load on the roof.
SportRack is owned by Thule; these are high quality bars.
Lockable to car....each bar has a keyed lock. Padded vise grip won't mar siderails.
Asking $85....much less than half the price new ($252.73 at etrailer.com). And these were only used on one trip, so they are virtually new.
