What You’ll Be Doing
• Hunting for new work
• Getting out into the field and meeting commercial clients where they are — hospitals, schools, industrial plants, municipalities, property managers.
• Walking mechanical rooms, rooftops, fan units, and duct runs. You don’t have to be an HVAC tech, but you need to know what you’re looking at.
• Asking smart questions and spotting work opportunities most people miss
Owning the Pipeline:
• Using CRM every day — logging calls, leads, appointments, proposals, follow-ups.
• Keeping your funnel clean, honest, and up to date.
• Turning in daily activity reports because the pipeline doesn't grow by magic.
• Delivering weekly forecasts.
Building and Closing Proposals:
• Working with operations to get accurate scopes and pricing. • Putting together clean proposals and explaining them clearly. Closing deals without shady nonsense. Being a Sales Leader, Not a Lone Wolf
• Running sales meetings — agenda, numbers, next steps.
• Keeping communication tight between the field, the office, and operations. • Helping set consistent sales rhythm.
Keeping Customers Happy:
• Staying in touch so we become their first call.
• Finding upsell and cross-sell opportunities without being pushy.
What You Need to Bring:
• A couple years in outside sales (HVAC/mechanical preferred). Basic mechanical sense — know your HVAC basics.
CRM proficiency.
• Strong communication skills. • Reliable transportation.
• Thick skin + good timing.
