Will pay $1,000 per month for a place (Pittsburgh)

I am looking for basically anything to rent for myself, girlfriend of 8 years, and 3 small dogs under 10 pounds each.
Now I know the animals are an obstacle but they are clean, quiet, and well behaved, also tiny. This does not have to be a luxury space, just enough for us to sleep, access to a bathroom/ shower and a fridge and microwave.
I am a full time landscaper of 5 years and we were living with her mother and sister who ended up losing her house last year, I didn't want to be responsible for her entire families
expenses anymore so we moved into an attic that has no direct central power or private bathroom for $1000 per month, but now I found out the previous resident was only paying $250 and the other tenants are basically taking over the first floor while paying half of what we pay.
I was desperate to find any place and should not have agreed to the price, since I had been paying $500 per week for almost five months before staying in an extended stay.
I have $1000 to move in and will pay up to $1000 per month for an apartment or floor in house, or $800 for a room depending on layout. I have references and can prove income. Can be a finished attic/basement just needs to be it's own separate space, shared kitchen or bathroom is ok.
I work six or seven days per week, would basically be just my girl and dogs most of the time, this would be an opportunity to get most of your bills covered so we don't have to keep paying this insane amount of money to live like this.
