Travelers Aid Seeks Full Time Transportation Specialist (Oakland, PA)

Travelers Aid of Pittsburgh has an immediate position opening in the role of Transportation Specialist at our Magee Womens Hospital satellite location.
Travelers Aid is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency that assists individuals with public transportation to attend a variety of services and programs.

The position is available under the agency Department of Human Services contract and will work from our Magee Womens Hospital satellite location in Oakland, PA. The position will involve issuing transportation instruments to participants of the Mobile Moms and Medical Assistance Transportation Programs, tracking eligibility and inventory, entering data into software systems, working directly with consumers to facilitate transportation needs, among other duties. Major requirements of this position include: excellent customer service and computer skills, basic math skills, basic knowledge of the Port Authority bus system in Allegheny County, PA, organization and attention to detail. The position also involves patient navigation duties under the supervision of Magee staff. Experience in working with mental health populations and social services is a plus. The position also requires an outgoing personality. The candidate should have familiarity with Microsoft Office software and have the ability to learn new software systems. The position is also contingent upon the review of a criminal background check and drug screening.
