This is a Gretsch G6120-CGP Limited Release of the Chet Atkins Stereo Guitar prototype.
It has two outputs-- and depending on how you set up your amp(s) and flip the switch--
You can play standard electric guitar into one (mono) amp or split the signal into two separate amps for stereo.
Only the neck pickup is stereo, and it splits the low strings (EAD) to one channel and the high strings (GBe) to the other channel.
Use your imagination for the effects you can achieve!-- pedals splitting, looping, etc.
Cash only-- will NOT ship--
OHSC and paperwork shown PLUS a spare trem arm, and the case key
Here's a rundown --
1. Key Operational Features
• Stereo/Mono Switch: The guitar features a switch to toggle between Mono and Stereo modes.
• Stereo Functionality: In stereo mode, the guitar allows for separating signals, famously used by Chet to route the bass strings (E, A,D) to one amp and treble strings to another.
• Pickups: Equipped with a specialized TV Jones dual-coil pickup in the neck position designed for mono/stereo capability.
2. Control Layout
The controls generally follow the classic Gretsch layout but with stereo routing functionality:
• Pickup Selector: 3-Position toggle.
• Stereo/Mono Selector Switch: Controls output mode.
• Volume 1: Neck pickup volume.
• Volume 2: Bridge pickup volume.
• Master Volume: Overall output volume.
Operating Tips
• Unlike the White Falcons with two stereo pickups that must use a stereo cable (TRS) into dual amplification, the orange CGP (Certified Guitar Picker) has two output jacks, one for the EAD, one for the GBe--but the neck pickup is the only strings splitting stereo pickup. With the lower bout two- position (Stereo-Mono) toggle down, (Stereo) only the neck pickup is active, and plays the split signal into the separate outputs.
Flip the switch up (mono) and it plays both/either pickup selected via upper bout three-way toggle and it sends signal from playing all six strings to both outputs.
