For sale is my custom made 1997 G&L Legacy. According to the previous owner, this guitar was ordered from G&L in the configuration you see here, with factory EMG ‘SA’ pickups and “big flake” silver metal flake finish w/matching headstock.

Guitar features a 12” radius (very dark) rosewood fretboard with 22 med/jumbo frets. The neck profile is slim and fast but with a pronounced ‘V’ shape. 4 Bolt neck joint. The G&L Fulcrum trem is in corrosion-free, great shape, and operates very smoothly. Guitar is also equipped with G&L branded diecast non-locking split post (Saf-T-post) tuners. Like most G&L’s, this guitar exhibits a ‘handmade’ vibe. Pin router holes are visible on headstock, which is common for these guitars.

The electronics are noteworthy, the Tone control closest to the output jack appears to add mids to the Bridge pickup, so you can go from Strat spank to searing lead with the twist of a knob. The 2nd Tone appears to be a standard treble bleed. The knobs are set-screw secured, dome knobs… fine knurl, with vintage volume knob. These knobs have a small dimple in the dome for an indicator. New Duracell 9 volt put in with low hours for use.

The finish is glass smooth, though it looks like crinkly tin foil. The large flake is reminiscent of ‘fishing boat’ paint. Looks amazing under stage lighting, the flake catches and throws colors in a fascinating way. She’s not just a looker, she’s a player too! Straight neck, plenty of life in the frets, and the pickups give it a great, versatile sound that is still usable in the local bar with lots of neon and TV’s, as the EMGs rebuff noise and hum. Guitar professionally setup with 8's and very low action. Comes with original hard case. NO trades. $950
