Roger is the son of Francois. Here is a description of their work:
Lotte bows (father and son alike) are consistently praised for classic Mirecourt qualities: well-balanced pernambuco sticks, elegant heads, and a warm, full sound suited to both amateur and professional players.
Viola bows by Roger Lotte are described as a round pernambuco stick with a rare combination of strength and elastic responsiveness, feeling light in the hand while still supporting both pressure playing and soft, fluid bowing as well as active bouncing strokes, with a powerful head and a nickel-mounted ebony frog with a pearl eye.
