2007 Gibson RD Standard Reissue in Silverburst - Gibson Guitar of the Week (GOTW) #48
Gibson only made 500 of this model as the final guitar of the week in 2007 (#48).
This guitar has been played but well cared for. To the best of my knowledge, it has never been gigged. It's in relatively clean condition overall. It plays and sounds fantastic. There are signs of play-wear but nothing major. The pics and video are aimed to show the existing cosmetic imperfections as best as I can. The original case is in great condition and all latches function properly.
There is some minor buckle worming on the back as well as some smudges and minor scratches.
There is a tiny mark on the back of the neck which is visible upon inspection but nothing you feel when playing.
There was a small ding on the upper top side of the body. I believe it was drop filled so you cannot feel it but it remains visible.
There are signs of minor finish separation along where the fretboard meets the neck on the side you see when playing. This is typical of Gibson guitars of that era and nothing to be concerned with structurally.
The bottom of the body has numerous minor dings along the edge.
The pickups have been swapped for Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) and Jazz (neck). It's a classic set that sounds fantastic. I no longer have the original pickups.
The neck volume pot was not functioning correctly and was replaced with the appropriate CTS short shaft 500K pot. The original non-functional pot is included and will be in the case. The new pot functions perfectly.
Specs (per my home measurements - results can vary slightly):
The guitar has recently been setup with Ernie Ball 10s. The action is reasonably low but setups are subjective so adjustments may be necessary to suite your taste. The frets are in good shape and show only minor signs of wear.
