King 3B "concert" trombone for sale - as is (not playable), with hard case, practice mute, two mouthpieces, and a clamp on music holder.
Made in U. S. A. Appears to have been made in 1977 according to a quick search of the serial number.
Excellent candidate for a Butler carbon fiber outer slide.
The inner slide appears to be fine, and the slide action seems smooth to me, but I do not play.
In used but nice condition except for the following:
Small hole in the case. It did not puncture the inner fabric.
Some minor swirl blemishes in the finish of the bell and bell tube.
Could use some light restoration - general cleaning and replacement of the usual parts which wear out.
Some significant wear in the areas where it's held when played.
The tuning slide seems stuck. I haven't attempted to move it beyond using a little pressure.
THIS IS THE BIG THING - The outer slide has corroded through at the slide crook. To be playable, the outer slide would need to be replaced, or it would need to be repaired with a new crook along with a new water key assembly.
The outer slide has some corrosion next to the slide crook, but appears intact.
