Now hiring for Overnight 3rd shift!As a Fill Center Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be a key part of our collaborive team. You’ll bring your skills and expertise to accurely and efficiently filling prescriptions, supporting Pharmacists and ensuring th the pharmacy runs the highest possible level.
Job Description
Overnight Central Fill Technicians enjoy:
Set Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00pm -7:30am
Competitive Pay: $20.00/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential
Job Requirements
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Certificion or Licensing Required: Eligible to obtain registrion as pharmacy technician with the applicable ste board of pharmacy
- Experience Desired: Experience in drug handling protocols and best practices in a time-bound fulfillment order process
- Educion Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 10 pounds
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities
- Remove out of de and expired medicions using proper company procedures.
- Train and mentor new department Team members.
- Report errors, omissions and incidents to Pharmacist on duty.
- Perform, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, the direct preparion and filling of a prescription.
- Prepare and fill non-auto counted drugs.
- Label bottles and prepackaged items accurely.
- Replenish canisters with consumables needed for prescription fulfillment.
- Maintain a ne and clean work environment in order to ensure th company and government requirements are met.
- Recognize, address and escale system issues.
- Adhere to all company, ste and federal policies, laws and regulions, including HIPAA.
- Opere semi-automic cabinet in order to fill customer orders.
- Maintain production res and meet quality expections as determined by leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Giant Eagle Pharmacy operes two Central Pharmacy Service Centers th support over 200 retail pharmacy locions. One loced in Freedom, PA and the other in Columbus, OH. These are behind-the-scenes centers where Team Members perform a variety of duties including prescription da entry, interacting with physician offices and pient outreach. Giant Eagle Pharmacy’s Central Fill facility is also loced in Freedom, PA. The Central Fill facility is a closed-door pharmacy operion in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This range represents the anticiped base pay for this role. Actual compension will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, educion, and locion.
