1871 Solid 14K GOLD Gail Borden Key Wind / Set ELGIN POCKET WATCH
This beautiful engine turned case is decorated with a very pretty floral design with a blank cartouche suitable for engraving and is in near mint condition. It is properly hallmarked for the time period with the Lion Passat proof mark and tests as 14k gold. The watch was made by the Elgin Watch Company in 1871 and features an 11 Jewel key wound key set manual movement and is running properly and keeping accurate time. Features a clean white porcelain dial with glass crystal. Information on Gail Borden (inventor) is shown in the pictures. If you value beauty and quality, this is the watch for you!
