What is the Community Health Choices Waiver program?
The Community Health Choices Wavier Program, often called home and community-based services (HCBS waivers), is a Medicaid program for eligible individuals who require long-term care services but prefer to stay in their homes instead of institutional settings like nursing homes. The program promotes independence, choice, and quality of life by allowing individuals to receive ongoing care while staying in the comfort of their homes.
Is my loved one eligible?
If your friend, family member or loved one had Medicaid insurance, they may be eligible for the Community Health Choices Waiver Program.
Who can become a paid caregiver?
Any family member or friend that is 18 or over that is not a spouse, POA or payee.
