Heirloom dining table for sale, a fusion of natural artistry and industrial heritage.
This single-slab, highly figured Sliver Maple tabletop began as a nuisance tree in a historic Pittsburgh neighborhood. Seeing its potential as more than a pile of firewood, it was painstakingly removed and the logs transported to a local band mill where it was cut into incredible slabs. From there it sat air drying for over a year. Following that it has been professionally stabilized through a vacuum kiln-drying process and precision leveled for flatness. All natural voids have been filled with EcoPoxy Deep Pour resin, tinted in a deep-blue pigment that complements the wood’s deep figure. Genuine Honduran Rosewood bow ties strengthen and stabilize the heart check, adding both beauty and structural integrity.
Both sides are sealed with EcoPoxy Top Coat for lasting protection and a glass-smooth finish. The base is a repurposed industrial-era Delta machine stand, showcasing its authentic 100-year-old patina under a satin enamel clear coat — a nod to craftsmanship from a bygone age, and built to last for generations.
Dimensions measure 100 1/2’’ length X 33’’-45’’ width X 2 1/2’’ thick. The height is a standard 30’’. Seats 6-8 people comfortably. The table is VERY heavy weighing somewhere in the realm of 400lbs, something to take into consideration. It breaks down into 5 pieces utilizing 1/2-13 hardware. Threaded inserts on the top ensure no connection integrity is lost upon repeated assembly and disassembly.
