This is a 1956 authorized edition of "Roy Rogers' Favorite Western Stories," a collection of 24 stories selected by Roy Rogers. The stories are told in a Western style, including tall tales, cowboy adventures, and Indian legends. The book is written by Dorothea J. Snow and features illustrations by John Ushler. In excellent condition for 70yrs. young. Comes in original Box. Please see pictures.
Roy Rogers was known as the "King of the Cowboys" for his popularity in films, television, radio, and personal appearances. He was also a founding member of the Sons of the Pioneers, a country music group. Rogers was named outstanding Indian citizen of the year by a group of Western tribes in 1967. He was married to Dale Evans in 1947.
