Very detailed restoration of a 1980 MGB Roadster, designed to honor the 1964 Monte Carlo "Rallye" race car that won it's class in 1964. Finished in urathane base coat clear coat Tartan Red, with a custom black leather interior with red piping. Custom accents include the all matching, cockpit surround, shift boot, console lid and hand brake boot, all exclusively made by MGBClassics interior tailor. Premium sound system, polished, drilled, 3 spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, beautiful recovered dashboard, including correct V8 tachometer. Special to the "Rallye" car were the very rare Factory Works Hardtop(also restored to new condition, including all new, correct rubber seals), and the grill mounted driving lights. The original style hood decals, and door decals are magnetic so they can be removed for a more subtle look or for cleaning for instance. Under the hook is a fully rebuilt Rover 3.5 liter Rover V8 that sits nicely inside the absolutely detailed engine compartment, including the original MG V8 valve covers. The rebuilt Rover V8 is mated up to a fully rebuilt LT77 Rover 5 speed transmission, mated to a work of art driveshaft, connected to the standard MGB final drive. The Rostayle wheels are also fully restored(including the matching spare) with brand new rubber. Of course the brake system in all brand new as well. The trunk is lined with black carpeting along with the carpeted spare tire cover. This is a one of a kind MGB V8 restoration and is all extra special as it is the 25th Restoration at MGBClassics. First place award winner at an all British car show. Available now, just in time for Christmas.
