We are hiring for a contract to hire position on our Marketing team. All levels of experienced will be considered. Ideal candidates have shipped at least one video game or culturally relevant nerd product.
Overview
The Video Game Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies that grow awareness, engagement, and sales for our games. This role works closely with development, publishing, and community teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing plans for game launches, updates, and live-service content
Manage campaigns across digital channels including social media, email, storefronts, influencers, and paid media
Coordinate trailers, screenshots, key art, and other promotional assets
Work with developers to translate game features into clear, compelling messaging
Track and analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies based on data
Manage marketing timelines, budgets, and external partners (PR, agencies, influencers)
Support community growth initiatives and collaborate with community managers
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in video games or entertainment
Strong understanding of the gaming audience and industry trends
Experience managing digital marketing campaigns and launch cycles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable analyzing metrics and performance data
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Skills
Experience with game launches on PC, console, or mobile platforms
Familiarity with platforms such as Steam, console storefronts, and social media tools
Basic knowledge of paid user acquisition and influencer marketing
Passion for video games across multiple genres
