Vanson Model A Black Leather 1.46mm thick measured on the piece of non-lined leather between the zippers on each sleeve. Motorcycle Jacket including the fleece linier Size 40 to start, then custom specs (I have my measurement sheet that I summitted to order it to if you wan a copy and you think it could be a deal breaker. The main changes were: arms a bit longer and the length slightly longer due to me being taller and skinner at that time. I was abut 6 foot and 175#.
New in about 2005 - barely used and I cleaned it regularly with 2 step Lexol about every 2 years
I added the Zipper pulls to make it easy to open zippers with gloves on
Brand new removeable fleece liner included.
The original serial numbered dog tag included. Vanson couldn't tell me too much on the jacket but it was registered to me. Jeff there said they did use thicker leather than now when it was purchased. It didn't sound like a non competition weight was available then. And I don't remember having that option.
This is NOT a fashion jacket. It will protect your skin in a spill. Based on measuring the leather thickness and talking to Vanson, this seems to be a much better jacket than I originally thought.
