Interested in getting a tailwheel signoff? Great but what will you do after that? Do it the right way. Join a club at the Zelienople Airport (KPJC). We currently have two 1952 Cessna 170Bs and are expanding our membership. Become part of the future with us. Our membership list is filling so don't get left out. Give us a call. There isn't any place in the Tri State area where you can rent a tailwheel aircraft after getting a sign off.
This fall one of our 170s will have a newer style engine installed that will increase the horsepower from 145 to 170. We don't expect it to become a "Bush" plane but the 25 to 30 extra horsepower will sure help.
There is a two tier buy-in. The first will be $2000 which will let pilots get a tailwheel sign-off without a solo. If they decide they want to go further then a second $2000 will be required which will give them full member privileges. Pro-rated insurance will still be required for both. WE DO NOT HAVE monthly fees! Rates are $140 and $155 wet/tach hour. Rental fees are based on Tach time, not Hobbs which is a big savings for you! Students are welcome. Our accomplishments include Privates, Commercials and CFIs.
Whether VFR or IFR, we will get you there! Check out the panels that we updated on our aircraft. Both planes are inspected for IFR but one is basic IFR with a VOR/LOC only. Choose between a 145 HP motor with 2-Garmin G5s w/HSI, a Garmin 375 GPS/ADSB/WAS, a Garmin 255 NAV/COM, Dual head Trig TR91 Com radio, new circuit breaker board and a 4 place intercom OR a 170 HP motor, 2 AV-30s, Dual head Trig TR91 Com radio, Terra secondary radio with NAV unit, AERA 550 Garmin GPS tied to the AV-30, Garmin GDL-39 ADSB receiver, new breaker panel and a 4 place intercom . Both planes have ADSB in and out. The first plane ties to your IPad/IPhone with Foreflight and the second plane with Foreflight and other apps.
Remember "Real airplanes have the third wheel in the back". Tailwheel flying is making a huge comeback so don't waist any more time. Give us a call. Buy-in now and become one of the owners so that you can say "yes" when someone askes you "Do you own an airplane?"
