The block has been fully restored, top to bottom. It is solid maple, including the legs. This is an outstanding kitchen, great room or man-cave piece. It is formidable. They literally do not make them like this anymore. Top is flat enough for a piece of glass if desired.

Restoration includes gluing and patching all major cracks. New steel rods put in place, with original caps powder coated and fixed with brass nails. Block is composed of dovetailed maple. The block is refinished in food safe oils. I have plenty of restoration pictures if you'd like to see them. We found the block in Washington County, sitting in the back of an old Chevy SVU for years. It had been painted over and abused for decades.

Top was planed but we left plenty of the original markings. Weight is approximately 350 lbs. with legs. The legs are easily removed for transport.

I can deliver in the Pittsburgh area for a small fee. You will need help to unload and move into your home.
