The Falcon Abbey Electronic Camera was marketed by the Utility Manufacturing Company of Chicago Illinois, in circa 1940. This simple snap-shot camera was constructed of polished black bakelite plastic with a built-in flash reflector and eye-level view finder. This camera featured an electronic synchronized flash control system, which guaranteed that the shutter would not open too soon or close too late. It also had a separate shutter lever for shots without a flash bulb. This camera was capable of capturing 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch pictures on standard Eastman or Agfa cartridge roll films. It originally sold for $7.95 with reflector cover and flash tester.
