hey! i'm looking to sublet my room in a two bedroom apartment for the spring semester (january through april) because i am going abroad. my roommate is really easy to get along with, she's a senior and will be graduating in april. preferably i am looking for a female subletter but i will not immediately rule out any guys interested in subletting. the cost of rent is $427 a month and around $15-20 bucks a month for electric. A little about the house...
It's a townhouse apartment in a gated community (Emerald Gardens - www.emgardens.com, if you want to check out what they look like.)
The apartment is awesome, it's very clean and everything (appliances, fixtures, bathroom, everything) are brand new, as it was just built in August of this year - I'm the first person to live here.
The rent is 695/month, split between two people, so 347.50. The total, including bills, will be less than $500/month/person... everything includes rent, heat, hot water, electicity, gas, cable(wiiiith movie channels!)/high-speed internet, parking, garbage, snow removal.
There is a guard at the gates overnight, and the area is very, very safe.
Many students and younger people live in the community.
It's exactly 5 miles from the South Side and Downtown, so it's VERY close ($15 cab ride if you go out drinking!) and it's on the bus line.
The apartment is also PET-FRIENDLY, as am I! The only breeds that are restricted are 'dangerous' breeds, i.e. pit bulls, rottweilers, German Shepherds, etc. I am a dog lover and a cat person as well!

A little about me...
I'm a 22 year-old female, a full-time law student at Duquesne, and I have 2 part-time jobs on the weekends.
I enjoy going out on the weekends, but lay low during the week and slave away over my textbooks =)
I like to read, watch movies, listen to music, go out to the bars with friends, all the stuff normal girls my age like to do.
I'm open-minded and extremely easy-going.
I'm a neat person at the apartment, so it will never be a mess - I hope you're neat, too.
I smoke when I drink, but never in the house - if you're a smoker, that's fine, as long as you go outside. Also, 420 friendly, though I don't really do it myself.
I'm also sarcastic and am usually making jokes when I'm awake, so I hope you're okay with that.

I'm looking for a female roommate, under 30 years old.
Someone who is a student as well or is employed works for me.
Someone who is extremely responsible and trustworthy - my apartment complex does criminal background checks for everyone who lives here, so if you're fairly certain you can't pass that, proooobably shouldn't reply to me!
Someone who is easy to get along with, enjoys going out and having a good time, but understands that work's gotta come first.

I do have two dogs - labs - brother and sister - neutered & spayed - 4 years old - about 55 # each (small labs); completely house-broken; do not get on furniture; are NON-aggressive; NON-destructive. I keep my dogs in a crate anytime I leave the home. Both dogs are well-behaved and very well cared for --- on flea/tick preventative year-round......... I am in the veterinary field, so of course I have high standards for animal care. My dogs do not chew/destroy housing such as wood, walls, furntiure, etc... I promise we've been GREAT tenants in the past.

While in NC the dogs and I have lived in a one-bedroom apartment in Morrisville; a 3 bedroom beautiful home in Cary; and a 2 bedroom home in Grifton. Both of the homes I rented were privately-owned and were arrangments made through craigslist. I am positive that these homeowners/landlords can provide EXCELLENT references for me AND the dogs.

The type of home I am looking for can be a condo, apartment, loft, townhome, or single-family house. No preferance since I'm just eager to moved to Pittsburgh for a short period of time (few months up to a year) to explore the city and decide where I will ultimately like to purchase a house and call home. The size of the home does not matter much since the dogs and I are usually outside and on the go. If you do not have a yard for the dogs that is ok as well - I enjoy walking them and it's a great way to get more exercise.

Ammenities include central heat and AC, dishwasher, off-street parking, laundry in basement, and storage in basement. It is located two blocks away from the Shadyside Giant Eagle Market District and is on a bus route to Oakland and downtown.
