There is no law keeping Mexicans from legally immigrating.
They take away far more than they pay in taxes. Most of the illegals DO NOT PAY taxes. They are paid cash, no tax withheld.
The cost to 'maintain' them, in jails for the crimes they commit, the schooling their kids get, the free medical care they receive, and food stamps, far exceeds what the few who do pay taxes covers. Why do you think Californioa is bankrupt?
We, as a country, have rarely accepted 'anyone'. Exceptions were only, as far as I can recall, the Cubans that Castro sent here(direct from jail!}, and those Mexicans who were granted 'immunity from prosecution' so they could stay.
Mexico itself has a far more sensible policy of immigration!

You ignorant racists make me sick, how soon we forget that we're all immigrants. Your grandparents came here from Germany legal or not were probably spit on and looked on as scum by no-nothing racists like you are now. The only reason your grandparents came legally is due to the fact that US immigration was much more open, Mexicans come illegally because we don't allow them to come legally it's not an option for them, it's terrible how difficult it has become to immigrate to the US. Our greatest strength as a nation has always been our willingness to accept anyone yearning for a better life. I will never forget how badly my Irish ancestors were treated as if they were no better than animals, and now those of Irish decent number 60 million in this country and are literally the backbone of the nation.

On an economic basis Mexicans and Latino's produce all of our food, they pick all the produce and meat we consume. They provide and incredible amount of cheap labor, and the illegals contribute billions to social security and they will never collect a dime. I think it's terrible how the US is chewing these people up and spitting them out. I don;t see why you racists aren't happier about this we're really getting the better end of the deal.
