"My Dear Dead Natalie" refers to a character in my story THE GUEST LIST (which the band is titled after) Christian, the groom is grieving the loss of Natalie, the bride, who died at the wedding, and to be with her again, we wants to get married in the after life.. killing all the guests so the ceremony is complete...

I recently decided last minute to do commencement for college and now need some sort of senior portrait type deal to give to relatives since I refuse to shell out $400 + for the stuff the school will do. I would like to do them outside with fall leaves, though, so that would mean the next couple of weeks, or maybe even the next week, because fall doesn't last long here. I know this is short notice so if you are unable to accomodate this please don't respond because I am also working under other restraints besides just the leaves changing that really aren't worth mentioning but are a factor.

Something simple, think Urban Outfitters, girl-in-field-in-pretty-dress type thing. I'm really not looking for anything mind-blowing conceptually, I just need something to give to my family and friends . But I'm also into art myself so something aesthetically pleasing is obviously wanted, and I like the city and outdoors in this area a lot so if that could be worked in that's a plus.

Here is how the projects would work:
We upload 10-100 raw files of images to an FTP site.
You open in Photoshop, color correct if needed, and outline the object (must be with the pen tool, not magic wand), crop, and save 3 ways: 300 dpi Photoshop, and 2 sizes of 72 dpi jpgs.
This is repetitive work, so much of the sizing can be done with Actions. Each image should take no more than 10-12 minutes. The pay is $3 per image.
The objects are simple handbags and easy to outline (no hair, etc)
There would be a test project of 10 images first so you can be sure this is something that can be done efficiently by you and so that we can assess the quality of your work.

Researchers in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon are looking for a graphic artist to produce cartoon art for a project to create an educational game for 5th-grade students. We need about 250 images of a soccer game on a tropical beach. A motley crew of friendly animal characters takes on a group of invading pirates intent on taking over the beach. The artist's job would be to help us expand an existing collection of about 40 images. Ability to use vector graphics (Illustrator, Corel Draw) much preferred. Excellent drawing skill and affinity for creating art for children required.

We estimate that the work will take about 200 hours total, although it is hard to give a good estimate. Per-hour compensation depends on experience and adherence to schedule. The work could be done long-distance. We are looking to get this done in the next two to three months.

I have just spent the last year writing a script (as part of an honors thesis) for a graphic novel. The piece is a suburban tragicomedy with sci-fi undertones (perhaps, if American Beauty met Naked Lunch). I am seeking an illustrator for the project who has past experience in sequential art, similar sensibilities, and the time and commitment for a long-term project. Some of my influences include Clowes, Burroughs, Beckett, Tom Robbins, and Alan Moore. I envision a partnership between myself and the artist in which the final product will belong to us equally.
