Hello! My name is Heather and I have a 9 month old daughter and a 5 1/2 year old son. My son attends AM Kindergarten at Cecil Elementary and the bus drops him off, in our driveway, around 11:50am. I am a part time stay at home mom and a part time dental assistant. I am currently working through a dental assistant temping agency who covers many offices throughout the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. They often schedule me in an office in advance but sometimes call the morning of, to see if I can cover a shift that day. So I am looking for someone who would like to come to my home and can be available on short notice. The hours vary depending on each job so there is nothing set in stone. I am also registering for a couple of classes that will start in January so that would be a couple hours a day a couple times a week. My ultimate goal is to get accepted to the dental hygiene program at Pitt for the Fall 2010 class. If I get accepted, I might offer a full time position at that point.

My husband is Active Duty in the Air Force and works out of Southpointe. His schedule changes drastically from one month to the next so one time, he might be able to relieve you at 5pm when he gets home but another time I might need you until 7pm if he is out of town and the dental office that needs coverage has late hours that particular night. We are good, honest people and we are looking for the same in you. My husband is very skeptical about the whole Craigslist thing but I wanted to give it a shot and see if there is anyone out there that might fit what we're looking for.

We are looking for an affordable option, a non-smoker, articulate person- someone who likes to interact with the children and not just put the kids in front of the television for extended periods. Some tv time or game play is fine but not hours of it. I am even open to the idea of "trading services" in addition to compensation for a stay at home mom who would like some time during the week to call your own. I could watch your children as a switch off. I am also a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Michigan so I would be willing to throw that in as a service that could be traded as well. Everyone knows that maintenance on your hair is not cheap! As you can see, the options are endless but I am really needing it to be affordable for us- not like the $80/day we were paying for them both to attend daycare this past summer. I would like to work but at that price, it's not worth it! So, if this is something you think might work for you, please respond to this e-mail with any questions or concerns you may have. We would like to find someone relatively close to Cecil if possible.

Thank you for reading my post and I hope to hear from you soon!!
