Hi , are you are person with an arrest record or criminal prison record trying to find a job and just keep getting rejected ,me too ! I am going to look into the possibility of starting a "Ban the Box " chapter here in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas . I found the ban the box group just looking for companies that hire convicted felons . The background check law was ruled unconstitutional by the late Supreme Court Justice Ralph Cappy and from what I can find is still under appeal .After trying to turn my life around I went back to culinary school and graduated ,went to work in a nursing home for almost eight years ,lost that job in 2003 and have been unable to find any steady work since . So ,Ive got student loans in default and no J.O.B. My point is if you find yourself in a similar predicament just respond to this ad and I will thank you ,first off and then I will start to count the responses I get to see if the Ban the Box can get off the ground here . ballistic face shields and saving police officers (pittsburgh)

I am trying to encourage police officers and departments to wear ballistic face shields because they will save the lives of police officers. One reason given by some police officers for not wanting to wear them is that they might tend to intimidate citizens. From 1974 to present 697 police officers have been murdered by shots to the head. If the officers see this list of persons supporting the wearing of face shields, they will be encouraged to wear them and their lives will be saved.

CITIZENS SUPPORTING THE IDEA OF POLICE WEARING BALLSITIC FACE SHIELDS FOR THEIR PROTECTION

Whereas the number of police officers who have been shot and killed by bullets to the head since 1974 is 693 police officers, and none of them was wearing a ballistic face shield, and,

Whereas numerous police officers have been saved by wearing bullet proof vests when shot in that part of their body,

Whereas we believe that the lives of police officers would be saved by wearing a ballistic face shield and helmet,

Collaboration of useless young gentlemen (Pittsburgh)

Are you a creative young male between the ages of 18-25 struggling to start or finish college because of lack of motivation? Do you think of good ideas for books, movies, businesses, etc., but never go through with them because of a lack of confidence, trustworthy insight, or motivation? Are you convinced you're not meant for school, but you're meant for greatness? Well there are tons of people just like you in the Pittsburgh area. Let's form a sort of union or allegiance to help advise each other or confide in each other about these ideas. Keep it anonymous or go public. Maybe what you need is just some confidence or feedback.
