Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area. Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering. Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms. Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items. Make beds and fold terry. Clean bathrooms. Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items. Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order. Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances. Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings. Vacuum carpets in guest rooms and hallway. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests` service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Food service workers assist in preparing and serving food. They also clean kitchen and cafeteria equipment in accord with health and safety standards. Food service workers report to the Food Service Manager.
Specific responsibilities include:
(1) To assist the cooks in preparing food.
(2) To serve the food at meal time in the cafeteria.
(3) To clean and set up steam tables and serving counters.

Requirements

The Guest Services Agent (GSA) represents the hotel throughout all stages of the guest's stay. The GSA will determine a guest's reservation status, identify how long the guest will stay, assists the guest in completing their registration cards and then assign the correct rooms, accommodating special requests whenever possible. The GSA will also verify the guest's method of payment and follow established credit-checking procedures, place the guest and room information in the appropriate front desk racks, and then communicate this information to the appropriate hotel personnel. The GSA also works closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinating requests for maintenance and repair work. GSA’s also maintain guest room key storage, and maintain and supervise access to safety deposit boxes. All GSA’s must be sales-minded and independent. GSA’s present options and alternatives to guests, and offer assistance in making choices. The GSA also knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.

Duties and Responsibilities:
o Registers guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.
o Assists in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
o Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper CI credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures
o Understands room status and room status tracking.
o Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
o Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
o Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all extensions, late
check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day/day-use rooms.
o Takes same day reservations, and future reservations, while providing the highest level of customer service to both
prospective guests on the phone, and to guests physically at the CI. Knows and informs guests of any/all cancellation
procedures.
o Handles all incoming changes, cancellations, and/or special requests to reservations.
o Handles arrangements for groups - i.e., rooming lists and pre-registration
o Keeps block arrangements secure for group bookings for Sales Department
o Files/creates room keys.
o Knows how to use front office equipment.
o Handles daily cash transactions and deposits as required by CI management.
o Processes guest check-outs.
o Posts and files charges to individual guest/group accounts.
o Follows procedures for issuing and closing safe deposit boxes.
o Uses proper telephone etiquette.
o Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
o Reads and initials the “Red Book” log daily and is aware of the days posted “Fall-back Rate”. Is also aware of daily
activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.

o Immediately reports any unusual occurrences or request to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

other shift.

Job Summary
The Night Auditor verifies the correctness of guest accounts by balancing each department's income. Posts and verifies room and tax charges, any and all phone charges, plus any incidental charges to guest folios. Night Auditors update all informational data required by CIS management, and their duties encompass any and all of the responsibilities of a Guest Services Agent.

Duties and Responsibilities:
o Completes posting of all charges.
o Receives and records guest payments.
o Prepares Management report remembering to include all information requested by CIS management.
o Posts room, tax, incidental charges, and local calls for the day.
o Prepare and have ready by 6 a.m. of each day the Housekeeper's Report, listing the status of check-outs, extensions,
early check-outs, vacant dirty and dirty-moved-guest rooms for the night before.
o Pays special attention to the phone and follows the basic rules of courtesy
o Records and programs all wake-up calls properly
o Provides information to guests in a timely/courteous manner.
o Must have complete knowledge of policies and procedures to be followed in emergency situations.
o Completes the night audit by 5:30 a.m. Gives information to following shift, especially any information relating to the
night’s events.
o Reads and initials the “Red Book” log and is aware of the days posted “Fall-back Rate”. Is also aware of daily activities
and meetings taking place in the hotel.
o Sees that all Direct Bill (DB) folios, vouchers, and registration cards are placed in the correct location for processing.
o Sees that all folios and registration cards (excluding DB) required are placed in the correct audit pack for review and
filing.
o Completes any and all duties/responsibilities of a Guest Services Agent.
Requisites
Education:
Candidate must be a High school graduate or equivalent and must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and general accounting procedures. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by guests who visit the workplace.

Process daily audit of hotel's financial data. Handle the requests and transitions of hotel guests, and coordinate with the other departments as necessary.
