Car has 93k miles on it, mostly highway
Blue booked at around $5,900 asking $5,200 because of a dent in the front right fender. No damage done to the way the car drives, only cosmetic. Would be an easy fix thats why the price break.

I drove it for about a year and put 12k on it(mostly highway). The only previous owner was the Jeanette county police dept. It was donated for their D.A.R.E. program and has the paint job but none of the decals or roof rack. It was for school demos so it wasn't driven much and was maintained by their vehicle division. New brake lines , water pump, all brakes drums and bearings, and an arm bracket and windshield. My mechanic says its in good shape with less rust than most of the other explorers on the road. Inspection and emissions are still good (but not on the new windshield yet-it was chipped by a small stone on the parkway, a mechanic can apply new stickers for you if you have the old ones). All terrain tires are a bit old and the front two are worn, but I have replacements I haven't put on yet that you can have.
Power door locks, windows, mirrors, rear wiper, new sony mp3/cd player with removable faceplate, new sony front door speakers, seat covers, fold down back seats for 6ft rear storage, grey interior. I took good care of it and it still runs good. I'll miss being able to haul things and the 4WD in the winter, but the ~$90/mo insurance is more than I can afford right now. The only thing I can think still needs done on it is a new compressor, but I never bothered b/c I don't use the air conditioning. Most repairs were rust or wear maintenance but the water pump was leaked and I took care of that and it hasn't had a problem since.
I paid $3,600 at ~60K miles and probably put ~$2000 more into it. I'm asking $2,000 OBO b/c I want to get rid of it fast. Commuting takes up all my time, so if you don't mind it as is- its a pretty good bargain.

Things to note- You will see the filler in rear right hand corner of upper bumper. We were told this was manufactured this way in the factory. There is also a small tear in carpet in front of the original hurst shifter (as shown in picture). The Tach (RPM) Gauge does not work. The steering box (pitman arm) also needs replaced. (We have seen the steering box/pitarm on ebay for $100-$300. If requested we have the mechanics in place to professionally have the work done for you at a bare minimum cost to the buyer). The trunk seal also needs to be replaced. (There is some surface rust inside the trunk) The hood also needs to be aligned. Also the front windshield seal does not leak but may need resealed in future.

New tires(4000 miles on them), brakes, brake lines, fuel lines. New Transmission in 2006. Steering box replaced(I think thats what its called).

-Needs windshield and drivers side mirror($175 and $15) need replaced and small hole in passenger corner cab filled in before it passes inspection. Inspections up in July
Other things that are needed... rear o2 sensor makes the check engine come on, some type of stabilizer joint(makes the steering a little sloppy)needs replaced. and the drivers lower ball joint is starting to make noise.($250-$285)

This Kelly Blue Book Value is for Fair Condition which it is in better condition than Fair but It does have some typical rust around the wheels and around the corner cabs. But this shows you what to expect. This is priced to sell!!
